Clinic Plus: Children's Emotional Health Screening
Emotional Health Screenings
It's natural to measure your child's height and weight. But you should measure other ways your child is growing too. How they feel influences the success of their relationships with family, school and friends.
Family Services of Chemung County is partnering with school districts in Chemung County to provide free and confidential emotional health screenings to area youth. Screenings are conducted at a variety of sites in the county. Early identification can have a positive affect on a child's emotional growth, social relationships, intellectual development and overall well-being.
If emotional difficulties are identified, the program works with family members to pinpoint a child's individual needs. In addition to comprehensive assessments and treatments, services are also offered right in the family home to ensure that interventions work in the child's own personal environment and natural surroundings.
